Bill shows Arnold his bombardier jacket

Dear Mr. Piskin,

My father, William Bothwell, Sr., passed away unexpectedly on August 31st, 2006. I know that he deeply valued the friendship and history he shared with you and the other members of the Howling Banshee crew. In his last years he spoke more and more about his service in the war and how important those experiences and friendships were to him.

He was buried in his birthplace of Miami, Florida, and a memorial service will be held Saturday, September 16th at Trinity Baptist Church in Sun City Center, Florida. He was predeceased by one son, Tim. Besides our mother [Betty], he is survived by four children: Bill Jr., Doug, Bonnie and Betsy; and eight grandchildren. Dad was 87 years old; he and Mom would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary next March. I will remember my Dad most for the values he taught us and demonstrated by example -- honesty, respect for others, and a positive attitude. I will miss him deeply.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could notify any other crew members with whom you correspond.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Betsy Bothwell
